We are delighted to announce the 20th Anniversary Edition of the Bucharest International Jazz Competition, taking place in July 2026.
Ranked by BBC among the Top 3 jazz competitions worldwide, the event has become a prestigious platform for emerging and professional jazz artists from across the globe.
In 2026, we’re thrilled to celebrate the 20th Anniversary Edition of the competition — two decades of inspiring performances, extraordinary talent, and unforgettable musical encounters. This special edition will take place in July in Bucharest, a vibrant and welcoming city for artists worldwide.
We warmly invite your students and young professors (under 45) to be part of this milestone year. The competition offers an international stage, unique networking opportunities, and a chance to shine in front of an enthusiastic and diverse audience.
Attached you will find the poster and a Mobility Funding Guide to assist participants with travel opportunities.

NEW ! Age limit: up to 45 years old ( born after the 1st of July 1981 ). The leader can be older than 45.
Prizes: The total amount is 10.000 Euro, cash and concerts

- o two different group photos, color, landscape format, min 1MB
- o copy of the bank confirmation for the payment of the registration fee of 140 Euro
- o short presentation of the group - max. 10 lines, word format
- o technical rider
Application Procedure:
All digital documents will be sent using www.wetransfer.com as follows:
- make a folder and name it as your band
- copy all digital documents ( application form A,B,C, copy of ID / passports, audio recordings mp3, photos, copy of the bank payment, presentation of the group technical rider ) in the folder
- archive / compress the folder ( zip )
- send the folder by www.wetransfer.com to email addresses: office@jmevents.ro and jmevents.ro@gmail.com
- please mention: “Application for jazz competition – band’s name”.
