Lennon 1968 kezdte írni a dalt, munkacíme „Child of Nature” volt. Eredetileg a „The Baetles (While Album)-ra szánta, de arra nem került rá. A Beatles feloszlása utáni második Lennon albumra, az „Imagine”-re már rákerült. Ebből a dalból 54 év alatt 19 jazz változat késült, melyek közül 18 van fent a neten.
